~ Tallest Buildings in The World ~

How Math + Science (Technology) are applied in the real world.

An example is the way buildings are being built now.

Before the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, the tallest building in the world was Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur, standing at 452m in 1998.

The advancement in technology over the years allowed engineers to build even taller buildings like the Taipei 101 Tower in 2004, standing at 508m, and finally the Burj Khalifa in 2010, standing at 808m tall.   Almost 1km up into the sky !!

Engineers design buildings to withstand forces.

Forces come from many sources such as gravity, the people inside, weight of the building materials, the weather, environmental impacts like the wind, etc.
