---Emphysema is a type of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease which is mainly caused by long-term smoking.
---Pneumonia is the infection of the lungs. It can make people feel very sick and may even cause death. It is mainly caused by bacteria and viruses.




2.The mouth does not have hairs in it to trap the dust unlike the nose which has hairs in it to trap dust, thus it is bad to breathe through the mouth for too long.


3.When there are gas leaks and posion in the air, we need to wear a oxygen mask.


4. Yes, because plants only need carbon dixiode to make food and will produce oxygen, thus they can live.


5.Human lungs have a large surface area so that gas exchange can take place more efficiently and effectively. Carbon dioxide must come out of the blood and into the inspired air while oxygen must be absorbed by the blood from that air. A larger surface area means more area for gas exchange to take place.


6.Nutrients, water and oxygen are transported by the red blood cells in the artery for the humans while nutrients, water and oxygen are transported by the xylem in the plant system.
