Transport System in Plants (Group2)

The transport system in a plant is made up of :
-food transporting tubes(Phloem)
-water and minerals transporting tubes(Xylem)

The phloem transport food made in the leaves to the other parts of the plants.

The xylem transport water and mineral salts from the roots to the other parts of the plants.

The xylem and phloem are found throughout the plant.They are side by side.

Xylem vessels are made up of long, dead cells wuth sitffened walls.

Phloem are made up of end walls with sieve plates.
